For me, exercising and eating healthy is all about building connection—both to myself and to others. I was taught early the importance of exercising regularly to manage anxiety and stress.
I never feel more “centered” and calm than when I’m regularly exercising and eating healthy.
Many of the most important friendships of my life have also come from my “fit tribe.”
I think the key is to make your fitness journey mean something beyond how you want your body to look.
Connection is what I call my “why.” It’s the reason I love training.
Although fat loss and muscle gains are nice side effects to working out and eating healthy, what really keeps me showing up is the connection I feel to myself and others when I’m actively pursuing my fitness.
As a coach, one of the most important things that I do is to help my clients to find their own “why” and discover something that drives them to achieve their goals.
